Overview
Grant Administration plays a pivotal role in facilitating research grant applications for UKZN researchers (link to Grant Application Signature Process and Checklist FINAL VERSION 19 JUNE 2024)
The Grant Administrator provides to the Researcher all the required statutory registration numbers (DUNS – USA, UEI – US FEDERAL, PIC number – EU, Tax clearance certificate etc.) for inclusion in their grant applications. She/he also creates international funders’ user-profiles and single sign-on usernames and passwords for the Researcher and project Team to be able to complete the online application forms on the funder’s portal.
In addition, due diligence questionnaires from funders are completed at the funder’s request as part of the grant award process (before or after grant application review by the funder) even though this is not a requirement for all funders.
